Somewhere along the way... we find ourselves at the crossroads

Imagine the fog all over the place. You walk by the road which seems familiar. There is the pub which you visited yesterday. But now it's fading. The same happens to your office on the other side. And now there is nothing more. You stepped on the crossroads. You are in the middle of it. What now? You look to the side and see the fog. Another turn and the same fog. Like the world is just a huge track through dreamland and there is no way out. Did it ever happen to you?

Is it because we always look forward to some goals and once we achieve some big ones we lose ourselves in life? With no satisfaction or desire to move on.

I remember myself standing there in the fog. Night time. And no desire to go back to the standard life which was appreciated by others and which gave me no joy. At the same time no idea where to go. All the roads looked like the same foggy track leading back to the same kind of place.

After many hours of thinking and trying to evaluate where I should be going and what my goals should be, how to be happy and so on. I came to a very strange though: "Got to eat something." You know what happened. The fog moved away. Far enough to see an Italian restaurant nearby.

Pizza it is. And a glass of wine would be great as well.

We often torture ourselves with tough questions. It really prevents us from enjoying life. Cause when we are always moving we can't focus on the simple reality which is all around us. That's why life is fading. So I just stopped and enjoyed the moment. A Strange feeling of peacefulness. Strange but comfort. It's a break we need from time to time. Then after that simple understanding became natural, I understood that walking the path is already joyful.

It's like a great book you don't want to end. When you enjoy the moment, you fully live it. Don't trade the existing moment of adventure for some goals you are not sure about. Goals are a compass on your ship. The crew, waves of the ocean, the sun and the moon, songs, dancing and work, friends, family, and love, that's a real life. Which we can fully enjoy when we feel it.
