The Spark of Enlightenment by Mahatma Gandhi

Hello, friends. Andrew Goldman here. Hope you've had an awesome New year and already started achieving your dreams in 2017. I took a break from social networks to travel to the North of Russia. Pretty cold and beautiful in there. I also had the privilege to read the auto-biography by Mahatma Gandhi.

If you haven't seen it yet, I encourage you to do so if you want to see a man with a goal who gave his life serving his country and his beliefs.

There are many interesting ideas in his philosophy. I want to give you three of them. To get the feeling of what this man was and how he lived his life:

1. "The Endless pursuit of perfection development - is the right of everyone. Everyone gets the Guru he/she deserves;"

2. "For me, it has always been a mystery how people can perceive something honorable in humiliation of people around them;"

3. "Service to others without joy doesn't help anyone. But all other pleasures become nothing in comparison with service to others that is joyful."

With all that said, you've got to know that he lived to see the day of Indian independence. Not quite the way he wanted, cause it was not united but separated into India and Pakistan.

More of that he was killed for it. I felt sorrow after reading through that information. Feels like many great man and women who sacrifice their life for the benefit of others. Trying to make a better life, are killed for it. Like Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, J.F. Kennedy, and Jesus Christ.

Let's add some kindness to our lives. The more kind and compassionate will be to other, the better will feel ourselves.
