Role overview:
As a VMware Engineer, you will own and evolve the enterprise virtualization landscape—defining reference architectures, leading lifecycle management, and driving automation with PowerCLI. You'll optimize performance, security, and DR/BCP readiness across vSphere, NSX-T, and storage platforms, while aligning with DevOps, IAM, and compliance best practices.

Role insights:

• Own VMware reference engineer and standards (vSphere/ESXi/vCenter, NSX‑T; optional vSAN).
• Produce HLD/LLD, patterns, and reviews; lead upgrades, patching, migrations, and EOL planning.
• Automate provisioning/configuration with PowerCLI; align IaC and CI/CD practices with DevOps.
• Drive performance, capacity, and rightsizing; optimize DRS/HA, storage, and network throughput.
• Implement security hardening, micro‑segmentation, and encryption; align with IAM and backup/DR.
• Define and validate DR/BCP (RPO/RTO, runbooks); integrate telemetry and alerts with SupportNexus.

What Makes You Unique:

• Enterprise VMware architecture experience: vSphere/ESXi/vCenter; multi‑cluster/site design.
• NSX‑T networking/security and storage integration (vSAN or enterprise arrays).
• Automation: PowerCLI and PowerShell scripting for repeatable, compliant operations.
• IAM/Active Directory alignment and role‑based access control.
• Backup/DR strategy and testing; solid performance and capacity planning.
• Security/compliance mindset with strong change/incident practices.
• Basic understanding of Cisco ACI and Datacenter Fabric Path.
